Damp & Timber Surveyor. Qualified to CSRT or CSSW level. A Building or Structures understanding is relevant. £50k to £65k plus company van and annual bonus, growth potential. Salary £s negotiable, based on a minimum of 3-4 years practical experience. A chance to join a friendly and growing company and develop your career. Orpington. Working in Kent and south-east London.

If you lack the formal qualifications but have been carrying out Timber and Damp surveys for at least 4-5 years on a stand-alone basis the company would be prepared to invest in you by helping you gain the formal qualifications.

Experienced Damp & Timber Surveyor.

Overview:

Qualified to at least CSRT qualifications. Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment or CSSW, Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing.

Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points, essential

Word and Outlook fully computer literate

Able to visit 3 properties per day to undertake rising damp, condensation or dry rot surveys and inspections.

Then to type these reports up the same day using templated report forms.

Working area covers parts of Kent and south-east London.

Surveys are in mostly private residential homes or rented properties.

Living within 45-60 minutes drive of Orpington.

Latest damp testing kit plus updated PCA training available.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Organised, with attention to detail.

Good time management, often working alone.

Construction Industry aware.

Positive attitude and approach.

Confidential, reliable, and considerate.

Presentable and able to speak to clients.

Damp & Timber Surveyor, duties:

Carry out surveys to locate problems and assess impact.

Write up reports, backed up with photographic evidence.

Offer recommendations and courses of action.

Recording and maintaining accurate records

Work within Health and Safety at work act of 1974 in all working areas.

Perform any reasonable management instruction within time frame requested.

Assist in training and mentoring trainee surveyors.

Package and Benefits:

Location: Orpington with site visits in Kent and south-east London.

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 pa negotiable, + company funded van + annual bonus & career potential.

Hours: 09:00 am to 17:00 pm. Monday to Friday

Holiday: 20 plus Bank Holidays
