Working for a sub-contractor.

Role Involves: Measuring variations / Additional works / Pricing up / Record keeping and proving changes / Valuations / Regular liaison with main contractors QS and PM.

  • You need good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • £55,000 - £60,000 or CIS / self-employed, £300 - £330. Site based near Bagshot.
  • Must have experience in reading and working with UK construction drawings.

The Company. A consultancy who are overseeing / managing multiple contracts in the high spec new build and cut & carve sectors, involving Shell and Core aspects doing the commercial, programming & technical aspects. Package values range from £0.5m to £6m. Excellent potential to grow with a company who have very experienced management to work with.

The Project.

Commercial venture. Site based role that involves:

Measuring variations / Additional works / Pricing up / Record keeping and proving changes / Valuations / Regular liaison with main contractors QS and PM. Initially 8 months programme. Works have been measured on an itemised schedule so you would need to be able to understand changes, pick up variations, raise RFIs and basically stay on top of commercial aspects of the job.

There will be a lot of additional works, changes, variations etc. Good record keeping is essential.

Quantity Surveyor.

  • 3-4 years construction related experience, ideally as a QS.
  • Must be proficient with Excel, Blue Beam, Microsoft Office & IT.
  • Involves Ground Works, RC works, Steel frames and Cut & Carve works.
  • Monthly Valuations.

  • Site based near Bagshot, working alongside the subcontractors GF and Engineer.
  • Salary £55,000 - £60,000 or CIS / self-employed £300 - £330.
  • Working hours 0800-1700.
  • Immediate full-time requirement.
  • Must be a car owner / driver.

Quantity Surveyor. Degree qualified or with relevant practical experience.
