Quantity Surveyor, RC and Groundworks. A new position has opened up for this company that operates in the south-east. Following on from the success of their Groundworks division the company is further developing their RC frame division.
The Company currently works in a number of associated aspects of Civil Engineering and Groundworks. Utilising their specialist skills and in house plant
and equipment they are able to plan, cost and execute all types of groundwork and civil engineering projects. These range from simple schemes to complex large scale
infrastructure developments and include:
• Demolition
• Bulk excavation and enabling works
• Temporary Works
• Foundations and Underpinning
• Drainage
• External earth works
• Highway bridge and culvert works
• Infrastructure term maintenance
• Formwork
• Reinforced concrete structures
• Low tolerance power float work
• Landscaping and paving

Your Role will be to further assist in developing the RC side of the business that is currently responsible for about 35% of the £10 - 12m turnover, whilst maintaining the success of traditional Groundworks. Work is carried out for Main Contractors, Developers, Local Authorities, Industrial and Commercial clients using a predominantly directly employed labour force.
Qualified to Degree level in Civil Engineering, you will have worked for at least 5 years for established RC frame contractors and / or Groundworkers. Tertiary qualifications are desirable, however a proven track record in RC and Groundworks will also be considered favourably. You must be fully aware of Health & Safety requirements as well as having a good technical knowledge and a commercial brain.
The work is mainly in the Kent, Sussex and London areas, so you should live within 1 hour’s drive of Dartford. You must have a current driving licence to fulfil this role.
A Salary of £50,000 plus is on offer. This is negotiable based on your particular skills and experience to date. Applications will only be considered from those currently legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
