Senior Quantity Surveyor, with good Demolition, Groundworks, Temporary works and RC experience for a new position in west London. This is a live requirement for experienced QS with extensive RC sub and super-structural expertise also having a good Groundwork’s knowledge.
 
The Role will include supervising one or two Project QS’s as well as running your own schemes. You will be responsible for all Commercial elements from contract award to handover working with the project team to achieve success. The role requires you to have worked for RC frame, Demolition or Groundworks contractors for a substantial period.
 
Requirements include being IT literate, fully versed in Excel and being able to work to tight and demanding deadlines. There will be pressure, with tight deadlines, so you must be able to work in that environment. You will need to be confident in meeting clients and their teams to discuss their requirements.
 
The Company is a medium sized Civils & Groundworks contractor, intent on growing the RC side of their business. The current range of work includes demolition, ground remediation, enabling works, drainage, groundworks, RC sub and structural work, retained facades, builders’ works and substantial temporary works.
 
Background. You will probably have had extensive experience in working for a sub-contractor, with at least 5 years working in the Demolition, Groundworks and RC frames sector. Substantial experience in one or more of the above disciplines is needed to fulfil the role.
 
Experience inRC structures in the Commercial and Residential sectors, substantial temporary works, demolition and Groundworks is all relevant. Conventional and top down expertise would both be useful; Design and Build contracts; with knowledge of remediation of contaminated sites, underpinning, bulk excavations, drainage are all useful, as is deep basement construction and earth retention schemes.
 
Reporting directly to the Construction Director you will be expected to be able to perform under tight deadlines and with the minimum of guidance.
 

Rewarded with a salary of £65,000 plus a good package, fully negotiable for the right person, you will find that your skills are recognised and appreciated. You will need to have a current driving licence. You must be legally permitted to live and work in the UK to be considered for this job.
