Project Manager with a Civils bias. Required for new projects currently being awarded to this growing contractor. The schemes are a mix of Commercial and Local Authority work, with values from £1.2m to £4m and involve both new build and refurbishment projects. Highways and related schemes experience essential, knowledge of RC sub-structural work and Groundworks is an advantage. These projects are in south-east London and you must live locally.
 
Project Manager Role. To manage and control live projects in line with the Company’s Health, safety, Environmental and Quality Manual. Managing individual projects on a day to day basis having regard to Commercial and Contractual requirements. You must be able to adequately plan, programme and procure suppliers, subcontractors and direct labour and plant to carry out the works. You will be the main point of contact for the Client and their representatives.
 
Daily Duties will include Managing the Site Team, including the Foreman / Supervisor, working with the Site Engineer. Client Liaison, working with the Line Manager, liaison and co-ordination of suppliers and sub-contractors, interface with the public.
 
Experience and Qualifications. At least 5 years in an equivalent role , ideally with a Civil Engineering Degree; a good track record with current and previous employers; experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You must have a Driving Licence, ideally be a First Aider, CSCS Site Supervisor essential (Gold card), SMSTS ideal (CITB Site Management Site Training Scheme).
 
Remuneration. Initially the role is on a Contract basis @ £18 -20 ph neg. with a Permanent option available after 6 months.
