Groundworks Foreman with considerable Groundworks experience required to establish a local base for a large Groundworks contractor. At least 7-8 years UK groundworks experience with a recognised Groundworks contractor, with 3-4 years in a supervisory role will be essential.
Work is already secured for the foreseeable future with a well known developer. The requirement is to establish a local work force to carry out Groundworks for Residential developments to include all associated infrastructure.
The Contractor works mainly in the south-east of England and wants to further develop their principle of reducing travelling time and costs for their staff by strengthening their local input. They specialise in Groundworks whilst also running some RC frame projects.
Suitably experienced and holding relevant qualifications in Groundworks supervision will be a suitable background for this appointment. The essential requirement is that you can demonstrate a strong knowledge of local working conditions and have excellent local contacts at all levels, especially in the Groundworking trades.
You must have drive and enthusiasm, the ability to work with minimal direct supervision a strong commitment to Health & Safety. Able to work to programmes, comply with Risk Assessments, communicate with the Project Manager and Site Engineer; IT literate is an advantage, ideally with SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS ~minimum qualification, certificates. Good oral and written communication skills will be required.
Location. The projects are in the Haywards Heath area and you should live within 30 miles of Haywards Heath. A full driving licence is essential.
Salary and package will not be a limiting factor to the ideal candidate. Guide of £135 to £175 per shift, based on experience. Applications will not be considered unless you are legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
