Finishing Foreman to supervise the finishing trades through to handover, May 2012, on a 75 unit new build Residential project in Bushey, Herts. Must be IT literate with CSCS card. The role starts in January.
The Project is a £6.5m new build housing development of 75 units. The role requires considerable experience in the finishing trades with the ability to handover snag free properties. A good working knowledge of M&E would also be advantageous.
You must have a strong, confident personality, be able to communicate and confidently deal with sub-contractors. You must be capable of clear oral and written communication and able to monitor programmes; some IT literacy is essential. You must be capable of monitoring all trades, motivating them to produce top quality work and pushing to ensure that programmes are successfully met and achieved.
As a Finishing Foreman you must have extensive experience in new build Housing; finishes will be to high standards. The minimum qualifications for this role are live CSCS, whilst SMSTS Certification and First Aid would be useful. Applicants will need to submit copies of these certificates prior to interview.
Your Background should ideally be a good Carpentry apprenticeship, where you have overseen all the fit out and finishing aspects. Your role is to supervise and co-ordinate the various sub-contractors, motivating them to meet programmes and targets whilst maintaining Health & Safety standards and ensuring that the project is on time and to budget.
Working hours are generally from 0800 to 1800, Monday to Friday.
The Contractor is well known and respected in London and the south-east. This role is based on £38 to 40,000 pa, based on experience.
