Contracts Manager for Residential Developments & Infrastructure. To work for an established Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor, that is steadily picking up additional work. Your area would generally the M23 to the M1, mainly outside the M25. You must have a current driving licence.
The Company is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor that has been successfully trading for over 12 years. Working principally for major housing developers, constructing roads, sewers, groundworks and associated infrastructure for new residential developments. The company intends to build on this and to run their own development projects. Contracts range in value from £50k to £6 – 7m and currently their annual turnover exceeds £15 million.
You will preferably live in the south-west London / Surrey / Hants / Berks area and will be generally expected to travel to sites within approximately a 1.5 - 2 hour radius of your home. Covering from 4 to 8 sites depending on the particular requirements of each site you would be provided with a company vehicle or a good car allowance, with potential benefits of good bonuses.
Qualifications & Experience. Ideally Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, having worked your way up via the Site Engineering route, with probably with a minimum of 8-10 years practical experience, working for a groundworks contractor. You will be used to dealing at senior and site level with Clients, Design Professionals, Local Authority representatives as well as the excellent, directly employed, site staff and relevant sub-contractors.
Profile. You will be capable of taking responsibility for live and impending contracts, meeting clients, programming and maintaining strong links with the Commercial side of the business. Repeat business is an important element for this company and your negotiations must reflect this. You must be fully IT literate and capable of dealing with all reporting issues linked to programmes and performance.
The Salary quoted is negotiable, reflecting your ability and level of responsibility, so there is potential for earning substantial bonuses based on productivity.
