Site Engineer. Required for a new Groundworks contract in the Watford area. Contract position of 4-6 months. Car needed to access site or locally by bus.

The Role will require you to carry out all the setting out and site control measures, working with drawings that lack details, so you must be capable of identifying missing or conflicting information at an early stage and obtaining same from the main contractor. There is a good Foreman on site to organise the day to day site activities and labour.

The job is a Foundations, Groundworks, Drainage and Groundbeams package for a commercial project. You will take the job through from excavation to hand over at DPC level.

Experience in Drainage and Groundworks as an Engineer and the ability to oversee a small gang of men (who will be organised by a foreman), calling off materials, completing daily diaries and records, general site management duties are necessary.

You should have relevant and recent UK experience to be considered.

Qualifications as a Civil Engineer with current CSCS are essential; whilst SMSTS and First Aid certificates would be advantageous.

Rates of £15-17 ph, based on your experience.
