Argee Recruit | Engineer, Groundworks and RC, to look after small Kensington site

Engineer, RC and Groundworks, for this successful Groundworks contractor. New job involving groundworks and associated RC work to podium slab. Package worth some £550,000 with a 3 month programme. You must be competent with Survey equipment and capable of clear written communication, fully IT literate.

The Role will involve running the site with a labour force of 6-8 organised by a ganger. You will need to be able to deal directly with the main contractor, sorting out drawing queries, set out, maintain the daily diary, organise material call offs and liaise with a visiting contracts manager.

The Project involves excavation, drainage, associated groundworks and services with sub-structural RC. So your experience to date will show that you have worked for a recognised groundworker in a similar position.

Qualified to Degree level in Civil Engineering, you will have had at least 4 years practical site experience working for a recognised Contractor or specialist RC or Groundworks sub contractor. A Site Engineering background, working on similar sized projects. CSCS certification is mandatory, SMSTS is an advantage. Good written and oral communication is essential. You must be technically astute, with the ability to deal with site staff, clients, suppliers and Professional staff.

Based in London or the south-east you must live within 1 hour’s travel of central London. Applications will only be considered from people currently legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
